Africa Direct has a need for an Admin/ Compliance Officer to help the board meet its commitments to the new charity regulations and standards set out by other governing bodies.

The Admin/Compliance officer would be working directly with board members to gather and create all relevant documents required.

The volunteer will be helping to guide the board to help it become compliant with new legislation and codes of governance.

The role will be for around 3 - 5 months. Approximately 2 - 3 hours per week.

What's Required

IT, administration, monitoring and evaluation. Knowledge of codes of governance a bonus.

In Ireland, Africa Direct are organised as an association with a membership of volunteers which is managed by an Executive Committee, elected by their members. They are a registered charity with the Irish government. In Africa they are partnered with a number of organisations, missionaries and non-governmental organisations, whose projects they fund.

Africa Direct’s mission is to alleviate poverty in Africa. Their approach is to work with Africans to tackle poverty in their own home areas through supporting, funding and listening to their African partners.
