Update (Pizza alert !)
Finally we will return to the Ballinfoile Mór Community Organic Garden next Saturday (Nov 11th) for the final Preparing the Garden for its Winter Sleep activity. As well as the works that will be undertaken on the day we will all enjoy a communal last supper 2017 of pizzas (made in the garden clay oven) and other sumptuous foods.

Volunteers can support the Community Garden and all the community that join together to help the garden grow.
Ballinfoile Community garden was established in 2010 and comprises of a half acre site with raised vegetable beds, poly tunnel, orchard and soft fruits, herbs beds, schools and youth garden. There are courses in organic gardening and woodland crafts and plans for the future include a pond and sensory garden and reflection area.
Located off the Headford road at the rear of Lus Leana and Cluain Fada estates.
Look out for the signpost and take the first right hand turn after Ballinfoile church. The garden is at the end of this road.
Is training provided?: Yes
Tasks that the volunteer(s) will be expected to undertake:
Digging, planting, trimming, grass cutting, weeding, painting, path making, pond making and the dozens of other tasks associated with maintaining a communnity garden
Skills required for this role:
A love of nature
A love of Organic Food
A love of Community
A love of helping others
An enthusiasm to roll one's sleevse up and get 'down and dirty'!
Details of time commitment needed for role:
Saturdays 11.00am to 1.00pm
Minimum time commitment per week:
1 hour p/week
