Requirements:Interested to learn about gardening
Assisting with setting up, closing down, promotion and general work in the community garden. We are now looking for volunteers to help with all aspects of the garden including sewing, hoeing, planting, weeding, watering etc. We are looking for volunteers with an interesting in learning about gardening. A personal interest in environmental & sustainability issues would be desirable.
We are looking for volunteers with basic computer skills, good interpersonal skills. A personal interest in environmental & sustainability issues would be desirable.
ULEnviroCom is a group of faculty, staff and students that advises the president on environmental issues and promotes environmental awareness in the University of Limerick campus community. The committee is responsible for proposing the adoption and implementation of environmental policies and also for evaluating this implementation. This is with a view to encouraging conscientious environmental management and facilitating mitigation of the university’s environmental impact.
Is training provided?: Yes
Tasks that the volunteer(s) will be expected to undertake:
Gardening takes place every Thursday at 1pm from February to October
Details of time commitment needed for role:
Every Thursday from 1pm to 2pm
Minimum time commitment per week:
1 hour p/week
