Requirements:Enthusiastic, outgoing, an interest in child protection is an advantage
The statistics are frightening – 27% of Irish people experience some form of sexual abuse. It might be you, someone you love, or someone you’re friendly with. At One in Four we work with survivors of child abuse, providing critical psychotherapy and advocacy support. In doing so, we help people to make the transition from surviving to living. Our work is about intervention in the cycle of abuse. Our vision is an Irish society where children are safe from sexual violence. We rely on money raised by fundraisers to continue doing our work. We are now looking for people interested in volunteering for a cash collection campaign. Volunteers will be given support and training from our HQ in Dublin, and we are asking for people to give a few hours of their free time to cash collect for us.
The hours are flexible – we deeply appreciate time given by volunteers – and we will work with you to find out what is suitable. By volunteering with us, you will be really making a difference in the lives of people affected by child sexual abuse. This is a unique opportunity to hit the streets, make some noise, and do something really worthwhile with your free time.
Is training provided?: Yes
