Description

Autism Assistance Dogs Ireland is a national charity that provides highly trained assistance dogs to children with autism.

Our dogs are specially trained to provide safety, independence and companionship to children who would otherwise live in a very isolated world.  These dogs help to transform the lives of children and their families.

We currently have over 500 children on our waiting list and as a result we have unfortunately had to close our waiting list. In order to get our waiting list re-opened we are growing and expanding our charity, in order to train and place more assistance dogs each year than ever before.

We are currently looking for volunteers across the country to help us raise funds, and come up with exciting new fundraising ideas and initiatives.

If you are interested in getting involved or establishing a fundraising committee group we would be delighted to hear from you. You will be able to work with a dedicated fundraising manager who will be able to assist you in bringing your ideas to reality. If you are studing communications, PR, events management, marketing, customer relations, hospitality, business, etc you will gain some valuable work experience by getting involved in our organisation that will be of great benefit to you in the future.

Alternatively if you just want to come along to the odd local event here and there for a couple of hours and lend a hand we would be just as delighted to hear from you. Volunteers are the backbone of our organisation and without them we would be unable to do the work we do.

Is training provided?: Yes
