Description

Would you like to develop your IT training and accounting skills in beautiful Malawi?  VMM have short term volunteer opportunities in Malawi with a charity who are looking for people who could train youth in the community at beginner, intermediate and advanced levels in various programmes. The organisation would also love to have volunteers to help with accounting software such as Sage.

You will have the opportunity to develop your skills while providing much needed assistance to the charity and the community under the supervision of key personnel.

Volunteers will also gain experience in community development and charity organisations, data extrapolation, software management and application, identifying areas for improvement and updating applications.

Placements start from 4 weeks up to six months and are available all year round.   These are self-funding roles and volunteers are required to fundraise for their trip and VMM will advise and support you in your fundraising efforts.  A four week placement is €1,800 which covers your accommodation and meals, airport transfers, pre-departure training, comprehensive insurance, 24-hour support and debriefing and a donation to the organisation to help continue their vital work and VMMs Child Safeguarding programme. Don't let the fundraising put you off as you will be genuinely surprised at how many will want to help you. You are responsible for your flights, visa and vaccinations.

By volunteering with VMM, it will contribute to the experience you need particularly if you wish to work in the development sector at home or internationally.
