As a fundraising initiative for the Student Financial Aid Fund, the President is hosting a musical concert at the UL Arena Bowl on Thursday 27th April from 2.30pm.

The entire campus community is invited – staff, students and all those working on campus. Under a Big Top, musical acts will perform. There will be food service areas and bars onsite.

This will be Professor Don Barry’s final engagement with the campus community before the end of his term. The event will aim to raise as much money as possible for the Student Financial Aid Fund through donations at registration (when attendees register online) and through donations on the day of the event. 

Volunteers will be requested to assist in raising as much money as possible for the Student Financial Aid Fund by being bucket collectors on the day. Each volunteer will be provided with a special bucket, branded event tshirt, free meal non-alcoholic drinks at the event.

Each volunteer will be assigned a donation bucket, which will be secured with safety lock and will be their responsibility until handing it back at the end of the event. 

Is training provided?: No

Tasks that the volunteer(s) will be expected to undertake:

Approaching attendees to donate money to the Student Financial Aid Fund. After donating, volunteer will give an ‘I’ve donated’ sticker to the attendee.

Skills required for this role:

Enthusiasm, outgoing personality, responsibility.

Details of time commitment needed for role:
Just one afternoon – Tuesday 27th April from 1.30pm until 9pm. A group briefing may be organised for an hour the day before the event to get all volunteers together and run through the day’s requirements.

Minimum time commitment per week:
6 hour p/week
