Requirements:Energetic, enthusiastic volunteers required for our Spanish Exchange Hosting
NCBI require volunteers to assist with our hosting event in Co Meath. A group of visually impaired Spanish students will spend 4 days and 3 nights with a group of visually impaired Irish students, all aged between 14 & 16 years with the purpose of cultural and peer support exchange.
Is training provided?: Yes
Please note that Garda Vetting is required for this position.
Tasks that the volunteer(s) will be expected to undertake:
Volunteers will be expected to assist NCBI staff and students during activities during the exchange
Skills required for this role:
Fluent English is essential
Details of time commitment needed for role:
4 days of event
Minimum time commitment per week:
1 hour p/week
Additional screening required for this role:
All applicants will be Garda Vetted. Volunteers must be available to attend an informal interview and induction/training prior to the event. All of our volunteers are required to complete the HSE online “Children First” course. The online training presentation takes approx 1-2 hours and on completion a certificate of successful completion is issued. Volunteer accommodation will be provided.
