Requirements:

Description

Small group of people with mild intellectual disabilities walk the prom in Salthill in Galway once a week and would like 2 volunteer to accompany them. 

Is training provided?: Yes

Please note that Garda Vetting is required for this position.

Tasks that the volunteer(s) will be expected to undertake:

Interact with everyone and be reliable in turning up for the walk.  

Skills required for this role:

Likes walking and socialising. 

Details of time commitment needed for role:
Friday mornings for 11am for approx 1 to 2 hours

Minimum time commitment per week:
1 hour p/week

Additional screening required for this role:
Garda vetting, references, need to attend a once off one day training.
