Requirements:Second year up to PhD students


Students and Academics can avail of research placements with our partner organisation who has Special Consultative Status with the United Nations, in areas such as child protection, human rights, refugee health care, innovative health technologies, communicable and non-communicable diseases, HIV and AIDS, youth protection, gender empowerment and much more.

You have the unique opportunity propose your own research topic or assist an existing programme with the host organisation, which will be agreed with your host prior to departure.

We will ensure that the placement is the proper fit and will assist in the production of quality research. You will have the opportunity to meet people and organisations who are actively engaging with communities in specific research areas who are continually striving to enhance the qualify of life for others.

Is training provided?: Yes

Please note that Garda Vetting is required for this position.

Tasks that the volunteer(s) will be expected to undertake:

Students and academics can work under guided supervision and/or independently depending on their needs relating to the research.

Your host organisation will arrange meetings with community groups and people operating in the relevent research areas where appropriate. 

The more specific you are on your research topic, the more advance preparation that can be don.

Normally Monday to Friday, unless otherwise agreed

10+ hour p/week
