Description

To be a mentor you need to fill out an application form and attend a short training course.  You have the choice of attending on Wednesday 22nd March or Tuesday 28th March.

Student Connect has been truly invigorated over the last 3 years. Why?  Because it is the only truly student led programme in the University.  It’s also the biggest club on campus so why not volunteer!  Mentor Leaders and mentors arrange social events throughout the year for 1st years, inform 1st years of what’s happening on campus and make changes to the programme to truly meet the needs of first year students.

Is training provided?: Yes

Tasks that the volunteer(s) will be expected to undertake:

Mentoring newly arrived students including international students, health connect, mature students, students with a disability and Access/HEAR students.
