Requirements:
The NUI Galway Students’ Union Charity Croagh Patrick Climb takes place on Saturday 17th of February 2018 in conjunction with NUI Galway Mountaineering Club. Participants are asked to raise a minimum of €40 to take part and all proceeds will go to the SU Charities: Domestic Violence Response & AMACH!
Entry includes free t-shirt and return bus.
Please note that you must raise a minimum of €40 to take part in the Climb.
All funds raised must be returned to the Students’ Union Office by 5pm on Monday 12th February 2018
Timetable for Saturday 17th February 2018
9.30am Bus Leaves from the Quad
11am Bus Arrives at Croagh Patrick. Final Briefing.
11.30am Climb Begins
1.30pm Lunch break and photos at the top of Croagh Patrick
2pm Descent begins
4pm Bus leaves Croagh Patrick
5.30pm Bus arrives at the Quad
What You Need
Before you can board the bus, you must have all of the following:
Walking boots (with ankle support!)
PLEASE NOTE: Runners, hiking shoes, shoes and Doc Martens are not permitted as they provide no grip or ankle support.
Trousers (not jeans)
Rucksack/Backpack
Waterproofs (not Ponchos)
Hat and Gloves
Food and Drink (at least 1.5 litres of drinking water/fluids)
Spare Clothes and Shoes
Is training provided?: Yes
Minimum time commitment per week:
1 hour p/week
