As a volunteer with Ungweru, you will be able to get stuck in according to your skills and passions. We are particularly looking for people who can work with the youth group, giving life skills and sports training, and for people to work with children giving education support in local schools, including homework and sports clubs.

No experience needed, all we require is enthusiasm, energy, commitment and humility.

We ask each volunteer to raise €1'700 for a 4 week placement. This will cover accommodation, meals, insurance, in-country transport, training & debriefing and 24hour support and a contibution to VMM projects.Flights, visas and vaccinations are an additional cost.

VMM are signitories of the Comhlamh Code of Good Practice and have received comprehensive compliance award for 2017 and in several years pervious.  What this means for you as a volunteer, is that we are committed to ensuring that your volunteer experience is wholly positive from the very start and when you come home.
