Description

SVP- SUNSHINE HOUSE:  URGENTLY SEEKING VOLUNTEERS FOR A SUPER FUN WEEK IN SUMMER 2018

The Saint Vincent de Paul’s Sunshine Fund is calling on all fun-loving and energetic people to consider becoming part of a vibrant like-minded team of 15-20 volunteers. These volunteers will provide an unforgettable week long summer holiday to 80-100 nominated children aged 7-11 from the greater Dublin area.

The children come from areas and backgrounds of severe social and economic disadvantage, and are in need of a holiday. The holiday can also provide some much needed respite for families.

These holidays take place in a purpose-built holiday home beside the beach in Balbriggan, North Dublin. Sunshine Fund has been offering children holidays of a life time since 1935, and over 100,000 young people have passed through our doors.

Each week from May to August, 80-100 children are provided with a fun packed holiday. The volunteers and children participate in a range of activities including; football matches, sports days, beach activities, swimming, arts and crafts, talent shows, shopping trips, treasure hunts, picnics and much more.  These holidays are unforgettable for children and volunteers alike.

Applicants are now invited to apply online for the 2018 holiday season which kicks off in late May and continues until early September, consisting of 14 separate fun-filled weeks. To ensure that all applicants are processed in time for the 2018 season please apply before 15th of November 2017.
