At a Dojo, young people between 7 and 17 learn how to code, develop websites, apps, programs, games and explore technology using MIT Scratch, HTML, Javascript, Python and more! There is a focus on community, peer learning and self led learning with an emphasis on helping others and showing how coding is a force for change in the world!

We have been runnning the Midleton Club for over 1.5 years and have a high demand for attendees to join our club that we cannot accommodate.  As we're limited with mentors, the demand exceeds our capacity and we desparetly need more technical mentors.

We run every Saturday from 12 - 2pm but ask that you commit to at least 1 or 2 Saturdays per month.

Is training provided?: No

Please note that Garda Vetting is required for this position.

Tasks that the volunteer(s) will be expected to undertake:

Mentoring children aged 7 - 17 in either Scratch, HTML/CSS/Javascript or Python.

We/re open to any other coding languages that you bring to the table.

Skills required for this role:

Basic knowledge of either Scratch, HTML/CSS/Javascript or Python.

Details of time commitment needed for role:
Saturdays 12 - 2pm

Minimum time commitment per week:
1 hour p/week
