Requirements:Available for 2 hrs per fortnight for 6 mths, a good listener
Are you available for 2 hours per fortnight for 6 months?
A Good listenener who enjoys encouraging others?
Interested in making a different in the lives of people who feel isolated because of their mental health difficulties?
The 'Head out Project' supports people with mental health difficulties to participate in their community and expand personal interests, contacts and access resources within their community, thus alleviating social isolation and loneliness.
Participants are matched with a volunteer and they engage in a social activity together once every 2 weeks, including; going to the cinema, for a walk, having a cup of coffee, a library visit, playing a sport etc.,
Volunteers receive full training, on-going support and out of pocket expenses for their role
Is training provided?: Yes
Please note that Garda Vetting is required for this position.
Tasks that the volunteer(s) will be expected to undertake:

Note: The next training session will be in September 2017. Threshold will accept details from interested students and they will make contact in September 2017.
