Requirements:Volunteer Mechanic (with experience) + Bookkeeper (with experience)


Suitable persons for this role would have:   

• Mechanical understanding and interest in bikes;                                                                

• An ability to support others and give direction when it is required/requested;

•Past mechanical experience/ knowledge /abilities are desirable for this role but not essential.

While training in bicycle maintenance will be provided to Volunteer Mechanics, mechanical understanding will be important for this training.

We will be running a Volunteer Bike Mechanic course in 2020. Please get in touch and we will contact you when it is coming up.

Tasks that the volunteer(s) will be expected to undertake:

. We aim to encourage positive environmental choices and a local cycling culture and are growing to be an important part of the community. We are becoming much busier. As as result we are looking for new people to join our volunteer team. The volunteer(s) for this role will be able to participate to a level which is suitable/desirable for them and their skills/knowledge/available time.

 • Guiding people through bicycle maintenance during our DIY workshops

• Together with other volunteer mechanics making sure the workshop is as safe and welcoming working environment as possible

• Together with other volunteer mechanics working on bikes repairs and services

Details of time commitment needed for role:
Wednesday evenings from 6pm to 9pm and/or Saturdays from 3pm to 6pm

Minimum time commitment per week:
3 hour p/week
