A volunteer is needed to read stories to children livinig in the direct provision centre in Salthill every Saturday afternoon.

Tasks that the volunteer(s) will be expected to undertake:

  • Have a positive attitude
  • Create a positive expereince for the children
  • Enthusiasm

Skills required for this role:

  • Reliable and consistent, must be able to commit to every saturday afternoon
  • Able to read stories to children (with flair!!)
  • Empathetic to the situation of others
  • Respectful and understanding towards the privacy and dignty of the children and their parents

Saturday afternoons

Minimum time commitment per week:
1 hour p/week

Level of English required for the role:
High level of English
