Requirements:Potential candidates are required to have completed a minimum two year diploma course in Counselling & Psychotherapy, and be able to volunteer.
Is training provided?: Yes
Please note that Garda Vetting is required for this position.
Tasks that the volunteer(s) will be expected to undertake:
Counselling clients that are depressed and maybe having thoughts of suicide
Counselling clients bereaved by suicide
Skills required for this role:
Excellent listening skills
Thourough knowledge and some experience of counselling skills
Ability to deal with people
Details of time commitment needed for role:
Any day or evening Monday to Friday and Saturday morning
Minimum time commitment per week:
2 hour p/week
