The Suas Volunteer Programme is an unique opportunity to work as a teaching assistant in India or Zambia for eight weeks next summer. You'll help support the education of children in some of the world's most disadvantaged communities.
Living and working with a team of 8-12 volunteers, you'll get first-hand experience of life in a developing country. You will gain a deeper understanding of global development issues, while advancing your own personal and professional skills.
It's a programme with big challenges, but even bigger rewards. Since 2002 Suas has sent over 1,200 volunteers to India, kenya and Zambia. We provide in depth training and support before, during and after your placement so that you can tackle challenges head on. Your safety is our no 1 priority.
Coming from a wide range of disciplines, our volunteers have used the skills and experiences gained from the programme to enhance their chosen careers, and to effect positive social change.
