Foróige is the leading youth organisation in Ireland and has been working with young people since 1952. Our purpose is to enable young people to involve themselves consciously and actively in their development and in the development of society.
We are looking for volunteers for our Foroige Ballinfoyle Youth Project to participate in a number of different activities with groups of young people aged between 10 and 18.
All our groups have a focus on being youth led, which means we cover a wide range of different activities, cooking, art, woodcraft, gardening, computer literacy, media and technology, bush craft and soccer are among a few. If you would like to join our Project and have a particular interest or skill in any area that you would like to develop within a youth work setting we would love to facilitate it.

Details of time commitment needed for role:
The groups are always run in the evening after school, between 3pm and 8pm depending on the age range of the groups. Each group is one and a half hours long and they run on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evening.
Minimum time commitment per week:
2 hour p/week
Additional screening required for this role:
Volunteers will be interviewed by a Project Worker and will need to undergo Garda vetting with Foroige.
