St. Patricks Day Parade/International Band Parade 2018

St. Patricks Day Parade kicks off on the 17th of March 2018 with a theme of Circus 250. The following day (18th March) The International Band Parade takes place with a host of local and Internatinal bands taking to the streets. Would you like to enjoy a birds eye view of one or both parades as they take to the streets of Limerick? If so this is the opportunity for you! We are looking for Volunteers to act as stewards on one or both days. Enjoy the relaxed festival atmosphere this circus themed parade promises to offer.
Is training provided?: Yes
Tasks that the volunteer(s) will be expected to undertake:
You will act as a steward to the 80,000 audience expected to come into the city over the weekend. Your role will include:
• Welcoming the public, highlighting events and guiding the public
• Stewarding assistance
Skills required for this role:
• Comfortable dealing with the public
• Comfortable being on your feet for a few hours
• Friendly, personable, supportive of the event
Details of time commitment needed for role:
Saturday 17th March - 10.30-1.30 approx. Sunday 18th March - 10.30-1.30 approx.
Minimum time commitment per week:
4 hour p/week
