Share a Dream the children's charity that makes dreams come true for terminally ill children will transform their Dreamland Fun Centre this Christmas into a "Magic Wonderland" and we need volunteers to join our Dream Team during the month of December to bring Christmas cheer and warm the hearts of all our little visitors!

Dreamland is for all children abled or disabled and is a dream come true for disabled children all over Ireland because for the first time they can play alongside their siblings and friends.

As a volunteer you will be required to dress up in costume - An Elf, Mrs Claus, a Princess or character and become part of the whole Xmas experience and interact with the children and their families.

Volunteers will give families a tour of the Magic of christmas showing them where to write their letter to Santa, bake buns with Mrs Claus, or visit Santa as well as play in Dreamland.

Please note that Garda Vetting is required for this position.

Tasks that the volunteer(s) will be expected to undertake:

Volunteers will be part of the Christmas experience dressing up as Elves and will be given a specific area during each session they need to look after e.g. as an Elf in the Post office writing letters to Santa or Mrs Claus's Kitchen decorating cookies or in Santa's cave assisting with photos.  At the end of each session volunteers will help tidy up and wipe down all the areas to get ready for the next session. Times are from 10 am - 4 pm every Saturday & Sunday in the month of December

Skills required for this role:

Volunteers need to be dedicated, reliable, outgoing with a vibrant personality and able to interact with families and children.  Love to dress up, entertain and have fun.  Skills like dance, singing, acting, drama would be an advantage.

Details of time commitment needed for role:
Times are from 10 am - 4 pm every Saturday & Sunday in the month of December

Minimum time commitment per week:
8 hour p/week
