Southill Club2gether is looking for energetic and enthusiastic volunteers to work with our Youth Clubs and Drop In evenings. These are focused on creating fun and supportive space for our members. They can engage in sports, craft, baking and lots of other fun and games in a safe and supportive environment. We want them to have loads of fun and to build positive relationships with each other and our team. We work with a restorative approach, based on building relationships and we work to empower our members to make positive life choices. If you have drive and energy, are interested in having loads of fun and in supporting evenings of laughter and learning then Southill Club2gether is the volunteering opportunity for you.

Skills: We are interested in people with creative interests eg  music, crafts, baking. As well as sports and games enthusiasts. If you have knowledge of science and creating positive change then there a roles for you also.

We offer volunteer training, access to other training opportunies as they arise and supervision and support from our team.

Is training provided?: Yes

Please note that Garda Vetting is required for this position.

Tasks that the volunteer(s) will be expected to undertake:

  • Support youth workers to plan and organise youth club and drop ins
  • Set up games and events for the evening
  • Meet and greet young people when they arrive
  • Make everyone feel welcome
  • Encourage and support participation
  • Link youth worker with anyone you think needs some extra support
  • Have fun, participate, and lead by example!
  • Assist in clearing away games/events/baking etc. at end of the night
  • Support youth workers in debrief and evaluation with young people at the end of the session
  • Add your insight and ideas, suggest activities and use your skills and talents to add something new

Details of time commitment needed for role:
Youth Club runs on Monday evenings. Volunteers required from 4.30pm-8.30pm Drop ins on Wednesday and Thursday evenings 5pm-7pm

Minimum time commitment per week:
4 hour p/week

Additional screening required for this role:
