Volunteer Experience
Who?
HeadstARTS, Enactus
How?
I was referred to Enactus first by a friend. I was extremely interested in what the society did. While they are known as the enterprise society on campus, there is a huge volunteering and social aspect to the society
Why?
After changing college course, I wanted to begin my first year of college (again) with a different perspective. Becoming involved with a civic society was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. The volunteer network in DCU is so big and inter-connected - it’s such an inclusive community and has opened my eyes to issues/topics that I had never heard of
Best memory
Our HeadstARTS showcase last May, an opportunity for our member’s carers and family to see what they have been working on all year at our classes. It is such a nice, heartwarming event for everyone involved.
One thing you’ve learned from giving back
I’ve learned that it’s not what you give, it’s what you do!
Somewhere you’ve always wanted visit
Japan
Random fact about you
I live on one of the largest tomato farms in the country
