About Us:Connecting audiences and artists
Galway International Arts Festival (GIAF) is a major cultural organisation which presents one of Europe's leading international arts festivals in Galway each July.
By welcoming our audiences, stewarding at street spectacle performances, helping with the smooth running of the Heineken Big Top concerts, ushering at venues, invigilating at art galleries, supporting the Festival’s sustainability efforts as green ambassadors, providing key information to the public as Festival Ambassadors, promoting the Irish language as Irish language ambassadors and helping gather important data as survey collectors, our volunteers are a vital part of the team

Tasks that the volunteer(s) will be expected to undertake:
Volunteers roles include:
Stewarding at street spectacles
Stewarding at Heineken Big Top concerts
Ushering at theatres
Invigilating art galleries
Promoting the programme as Festival Ambassador
Supporting GIAF sustainability as Green Ambassador
Various ad hoc roles
Volunteers may pick roles and shifts according to availability

Throughout the duration of GIAF they avail of discounts in local businesses, participate in social activities, get together in the welcoming volunteer hub and get invited to the GIAF wrap party.

All applicants will be required to complete the GIAF application form which will be emailed to them on 5 May
