Help Us Communicate Clearly – Join Our Volunteer Readers Panel (Remote Opportunity)
Do you have a keen interest in clear, effective and inclusive communication? Are you someone who values making information accessible and easy to understand?
Sligo Volunteer Centre is developing a Readers Panel of volunteers from all walks of life — professionals, retirees, students, anyone with an eye for detail to help us improve how we communicate. We’re inviting individuals to join this panel and assist us by occasionally reviewing and providing feedback on a wide range of materials, including: Promotional content
Reports and written communications, Policies and strategic documents.
Your insights will help ensure that our communications are not only easy to read, but that they accurately reflect what we intend to say, with clarity, consistency, and no room for misinterpretation.
This is a flexible, remote opportunity as documents will be emailed to you to read so you can contribute from home, at a time that suits you.
Sign up below and become part of a panel helping shape effective communication.

Benefits of Volunteering:
You will make an impact! Volunteering with Volunteer Sligo helps us to achieve our mission: We help people who want to volunteer as well as non-profit groups who need volunteers.
For non-profit groups we provide one-to-one support on all aspects of how to find and keep volunteers of varying interest and skills. We run training courses and workshops on issues concerning all aspects of volunteering and facilitate quarterly Volunteer Co-ordinators Get Togethers and provide a Garda Vetting service. We also advertise groups' volunteer vacancies and refer potential volunteers to them for selection.
For the general public who are thinking of volunteering, we provide a database of current options available in Sligo (and nationwide). We also provide friendly group Volunteer Information Sessions along with one-to-one guidance to help people find satisfying and rewarding volunteering roles.
