This year’s UL charity partners are the Irish Community Rapid Response and Irish Red Cross.
The Irish Community Rapid Response are an organisation based in North Cork, launched Ireland’s first charity funded Air Ambulance.
“We offer a vital lifesaving service, bringing advanced paramedics from the National Ambulance Service to the roadside, farm or home within minutes of the incident. Most critically, the Air Ambulance can then transfer the casualty to the hospital that best suits their needs.”
The Irish Red Cross has over 600 members that operate in Limerick City and County.
“We are one of the main providers of first aid and ambulances services for sporting, social and community events in Limerick City and County Area. We are the primary provider of medical services to Thomond Park Stadium, Munster Rugby, University of Limerick as well as other events such as Special Olympics, Circuit of Munster Car Rally and the Great Limerick Run."
