Description

We’re seeking a detail-oriented and reliable volunteer to assist with the day-to-day administration of our charity. This role is ideal for someone organised, comfortable with written communication, and happy to support behind the scenes. You’ll help us manage voucher enquiries and keep our systems running smoothly, ensuring we can continue to provide meaningful support to people in mental health recovery.

Complete a short test task (interpreting a voucher enquiry and drafting a response) as part of onboarding

Tasks that the volunteer(s) will be expected to undertake:

  • Email Management: Monitor the inbox, draft responses to voucher queries (final sending by the charity lead), and log requests in shared systems.
  • Voucher Administration: Update the voucher log (Google Sheets), prepare request forms (Google Docs), and cross-check logs and forms once vouchers are purchased and posted by the board.
  • Project Management: Keep Trello updated with new requests and completed tasks, track progress, and flag issues.
  • Documentation: Maintain consistency and accuracy across Google Docs/Sheets, and assist with summaries or reports when needed.
  • Communication: Use Trello and WhatsApp voice notes for updates, and provide a weekly check-in (online or at ATU).

Details of time commitment needed for role:
Weekly Check-In: 1 hour online or in person at ATU (Monday or Thursday, agreed in advance) Independent Desk Work: Around 3 hours per week, completed at your own pace

Minimum time commitment per week:
4 hours p/week
