Role Overview:
We’re looking for a proactive, reliable, and organised volunteer to assist the General Manager in the day-to-day running of Aphasia Ireland. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a dynamic environment, managing multiple tasks, and contributing to a meaningful cause.

Tasks that the volunteer(s) will be expected to undertake:
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the General Manager with administrative and organisational tasks
Handle phone and email communication with volunteers, members, and partners.
Create and edit visual content for social media and events using Canva.
Help coordinate events, meetings, and fundraising activities.
Maintain documents, contact lists, and scheduling systems.
Support with volunteer coordination and general communications.
Collaborate with different teams across the organisation (Events, Social Media, Website, HR, Grants, etc.).
Skills & Requirements:
Confident and comfortable talking on the phone.
Strong organisational and time-management skills.
Proficient with Canva (designing posts, posters, and event materials).
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Detail-oriented and able to multitask effectively.
Enthusiastic about contributing to a meaningful cause.
Experience with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive) is a plus.

Volunteers will also be provided with the following support:
● Support/ advice/ recognition
● Supervision
● Initial induction and training
● Ongoing training opportunities
● References after 3 months of volunteering
Minimum time commitment per week:
2 hours p/week
