Requirements:Seeking Big Brothers - Someone who is caring, non judgemental, likes to have fun and getting to know others.

Description

We are looking for males to take part in a 10 week mentoring programme where you will be matched with a young person and will meet weekly as a group with other matches. 

You will take part in activities with the young person you are matched with on a one to one as well as a group. 

No experience necessary. All you need is to be someone who is open to having some fun and helping a young person in the process.

Is training provided?: Yes

Please note that Garda Vetting is required for this position which will be processed with you after you apply.

Tasks that the volunteer(s) will be expected to undertake:

The 10 week program will involve some sports, cookery, games etc. 

All activities will be facilitated by Foroige's mentoring program staff.

Skills required for this role:

No particular skills needed, just an interest in helping young people.

Details of time commitment needed for role:
The group will meet once a week for 1 to 2 hours over 10 weeks. The day is yet to be decided based on the volunteers availability.

Minimum time commitment per week:
2 hour p/week

Additional screening required for this role:
There is an information session, interview, application form, garda vetting, children's first online training, child protection training and volunteer induction training.
