Description

The Sleep Out for Simon is one of Galway Simon Community’s most important fundraising events in the calendar raising vital funds to support people experiencing homelessness in our community.

We’re looking for enthusiastic and friendly volunteers to join us on the day as Bucket Collectors, helping raise awareness and collect donations from the public on the streets of Galway.

Your presence and energy on the day will help create a strong community atmosphere while making a real difference. You don't need to be sleeping out to join as a Bucket Collector.

Is training provided?:Yes

Tasks that the volunteer(s) will be expected to undertake:

• Standing at designated collection points in Galway City Centre
• Collecting donations from the public using branded Galway Simon Community buckets
• Thanking supporters

Details of time commitment needed for role:
We ask each volunteer to commit to at least one 2-hour shift between 2pm and 10pm on the 3rd of October 2025. You can choose a time that suits you and you are welcome to do more than one time slot!
