About Us:
Sé cuspóir club óige Ógras ná spás sábháilte agus compordach a chur ar fáil, inar féidir le daoine óga ó cheantar áirithe teacht le chéile lena gcairde, trí mheáin na Gaeilge. Tá Ógras ag iarraidh freastal ar riachtanais na hóige, as ionad teacht le chéile agus gníomhaíochtaí éagsúil a chur ar fáil, chun tionchar a bheith ann i gcruthú eispéirithe dearfacha.
The purpose of an Ógras Youth club is to provide a safe and comfortable place where young people from the area can meet and socialise together through the medium of Irish. Ógras aims to serve the needs of young people by providing a meeting place and a wide range of activities which contributes to positive experiences.
Caighdeán ard Gaeilge riachtanach chun bheith mar duine deonach sna clubannaí seo.
High level of Irish essential to be a volunteer with Ógras.

Please note that Garda Vetting is required for this position which will be processed with you after you apply.
Tasks that the volunteer(s) will be expected to undertake:
Facilitatiing a range of fun activities and workshops that fulfil the goals of the club and that encorportate the interests of the young people.
Club goals include:
1. Engaging in sports and other physical activities
2. Learning new skills
3. Contributing to their wider community in a positive way
4. Developing a sense of belonging and feeling part of something
5. Forging friendships
Benefits of Volunteering:
- Use the Irish language in an informal setting weekly, and the chance to promote the language among young people
- Contribute to the wider community in a positive way and help the young people to develop a sense of belonging and feeling part of something.

Tráthnóna Dé hAoine/Friday afternoon, 2.30-3.30, Gaelscoil Mhic Amhlaigh, Cnoc na Cathrach, Gaillimh 3. Tráthnóna Dé hAoine/Friday afternoon 2.30-3.30, Scoil Shéamais Naofa, Bearna, Gaillimh
Minimum time commitment per week:
1 hour p/week
