Description

On Culture Night, arts and cultural organisations and venues open their doors later and free of charge, to allow for increased access to the public. Special and unique events will be specifically programmed at participating locations.

Culture Night is always great fun and offers the perfect opportunity for us as a region to showcase the wealth of culture that Limerick has to offer. It is a night to celebrate the cultural, artistic and creative communities of our city and county by inviting existing and new audiences into our galleries, museums, workshops and studios.

Volunteers are asked to be ambassadors on the night, helping people find information on events, locations etc, assisting venues with stewarding events and helping with the admin of data collection.

Tasks that the volunteer(s) will be expected to undertake:

Volunteers will be asked to hand out fliers, help people find out information, assist venues with audience flow and data collection.

Benefits of Volunteering:

Volunteers can explore the cities cultural offerings on an epis night of music, art, community and culture. Volunteers get to meet people and find out about the Cultural life of Limerick.

Details of time commitment needed for role:
Volunteers are expected to do a one hour online training in advance and commit at least 2 hours on the night itself

Minimum time commitment per week:
3 hours p/week

Additional screening required for this role::
Volunteers should be friendly, outgoing and enthusiastic about culture, they should be comfortable meeting people and assisting the public.
