Description

Do you enjoy supporting older people? A cup of tea and chat? This is a volunteer opportunity for you!

We are inviting students to join in on three-week workshops for Older People in the Community to build their digital skills and their social interaction. 

This is a great way to make a big impact!

We will be running these workshops in Castlebar, Mayo and in Letterfrack and Mountbellew, Co Galway.

 

Is training provided?:Yes

Tasks that the volunteer(s) will be expected to undertake:

  • Volunteers are fully trained on how to support an older person with their technical needs 
  • Volunteers attend 3 workshop sessions and sitting beside an older person guide and assist them using the older persons' phone, i-pad or laptop
