Description

Furniture Team Volunteer: We’re looking for volunteers to join the Furniture Team, assisting with donations, creating furniture displays and supporting customers. It’s a great opportunity for anyone interested in homeware, furniture or interior presentation while gaining valuable retail experience.

About Anam Croí: Based in Claregalway, Anam Croí supports older people through social care, community connection and purpose-built housing. Our Day Centre provides a welcoming space where older adults enjoy meals, activities and companionship in a supportive environment. Our Charity Shop helps fund this important work and our furniture section is one of the busiest parts of the shop.

No previous experience is required, just a friendly attitude, reliability and a willingness to help!

Every hour you give helps us provide care and connection to older people in our community.

Is training provided?:Yes

Tasks that the volunteer(s) will be expected to undertake:

  • Assisting with accepting, recording and tagging furniture donations
  • Helping to keep the furniture area organised
  • Creating attractive displays
  • Providing assistance to customers browsing larger items
  • Supporting general shop duties as required

Details of time commitment needed for role:
Fully Flexible: Our shop is open Monday to Saturday from 10am to 5pm, and we can arrange a volunteering schedule that works around your studies.

Minimum time commitment per week:
1 hour p/week

Additional screening required for this role::
No special skills are required, just a positive attitude, reliability and a willingness to help. Light lifting may be involved, but support is always available.
