Description

Join Macra na Feirme – Empower Rural Youth

Are you an ATU student looking to get involved in your community, build leadership skills, and meet like-minded people? Become a volunteer member of Macra na Feirme, Ireland’s rural youth organisation for people aged 17–35.

As a Macra member, you will have the opportunity to take part in a wide range of activities including community projects, social events, leadership development, public speaking, sports, and agricultural initiatives. Members help organise local events, support rural communities, and create opportunities for young people to connect and develop valuable personal and professional skills.

Volunteering with Macra is a great way to expand your network, gain experience for your CV, and make a positive impact in rural Ireland while studying at ATU. Whether you’re from a farming background or simply interested in community involvement, everyone is welcome.

Is training provided?:Yes

Tasks that the volunteer(s) will be expected to undertake:

  • Participate in local Macra club meetings and activitives
  • Assist in organising social, cultural, and community events
