About Us:At Croí, our aim is to lead the fight against heart disease and stroke, with a particular focus on the West of Ireland.
CRoíACT is an exciting fundraising event where Croí and ACT for Meningitis have teamed up to deliver a comedy event on Wednesday 22nd of October in the Town Hall Theatre. This event will see 8 members of the public take to the stage and deliver stand-up comedy for the first time! They are under the mentorship of well known comedian, Karl Spain.
We have received a Garda permit for bucket collections the week of the event so we are seeking a team of volunteers on Tuesday 21st, Wednesday 22nd and Thursday 23rd of October at anytime throughout the day to shake a bucket in the heart of Galway City and help us raise funds to support both charities.
All funds donated by the public will be divided amongst both amazing charities.
Is training provided?:Yes
Please note that Garda Vetting is required for this position which will be processed with you after you apply.
Tasks that the volunteer(s) will be expected to undertake:
Bucket collection in Eyre Square and Shop Street.
Benefits of Volunteering:
You will be directly helping Croí and ACT for Meningitis, both local charities to Galway.
Minimum time commitment per week:
6 hours p/week

Informal meeting for coffee in Croí House, Newcastle.
