Sorting Team Volunteer:

We are seeking Sorting Team Volunteers to join the team at the Anam Croí Charity Shop.

Be part of the behind-the-scenes team that sorts, prepares and organises donations before they go out on the shop floor. It's a great way to contribute if you prefer working away from the front of house.

This rewarding role offers the chance to meet new people, gain valauble experience and most importantly, support the essential services we provide for older people in our community.

About Anam Croí: Based in Claregalway, Anam Croí supports older people through social care, community connection and purpose-built housing. Our Day Centre provides a welcoming space where older adults enjoy meals, activities and companionship in a supportive environment. Our Charity Shop helps fund this important work and our furniture section is one of the busiest parts of the shop.

No experience is needed, just a good eye, attention to detail and a willingness to help!

Every hour you give helps us provide care and connection to older people in our community.

Tasks that the volunteer(s) will be expected to undertake:

• Sorting and quality checking donated items
• Organising clothes, books, homeware and more
• Hanging, tagging and preparing items for sale
• Keeping the stockroom clean and organised
• Helping with other tasks as needed

Details of time commitment needed for role:
Fully Flexible: Our shop is open Monday to Saturday from 10am to 5pm, and we can arrange a volunteering schedule that works around your studies.

Minimum time commitment per week:
1 hour p/week

Additional screening required for this role::
No special skills are required, just a positive attitude, reliability and a willingness to help. Light lifting may be involved, but support is always available.
