Description

The Ireland Summer Games 2026 will take place from 18–21 June 2026 across multiple venues in Dublin and the Greater Dublin Area.

This is Ireland’s largest inclusive sporting event, bringing together thousands of athletes, coaches, volunteers and supporters from across the country.

We are recruiting enthusiastic volunteers to support a wide range of roles, including:

  • Athlete and team support
  • Sports and venue operations
  • Spectator services and guest experience
  • Logistics, transport and accreditation
  • Media, results and event support roles

Volunteers are central to the success of the Games and play a vital role in creating a positive, inclusive and memorable experience for our athletes and their families.

No previous experience is required. All volunteers will receive role-specific training, support on the day, and be part of a welcoming team environment.

This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience at a major national sporting event while contributing to an inclusive and meaningful cause.

Is training provided?:Yes

Please note that Garda Vetting is required for this position which will be processed with you after you apply.

Tasks that the volunteer(s) will be expected to undertake:

  • Supporting athletes, coaches and teams on arrival and throughout the Games
  • Assisting with venue operations and wayfinding
  • Providing a welcoming experience for spectators and guests
  • Supporting sports delivery and event logistics
  • Working as part of a team to ensure events run smoothly and safely

Details of time commitment needed for role:
Volunteers can sign up for one or more days during the Games (18–21 June 2026). Full-day availability is required for any day selected.

Additional screening required for this role::
Volunteers will be required to complete an online registration process. Some roles may require Garda Vetting and safeguarding checks. Full guidance and support will be provided.
