Volunteer English Tutors needed for the English Conversation Club 

Are you fluent in English? Do you want to use your skill while meeting new people and learning about diverse cultures?

Then we'd love to hear from you! Please contact us to join one of our English Conversation Club

West Limerick Resources are running three Conversation Clubs in 

Newcastle West (Thursday 6.30-8pm, Market House

Abbeyfeale (Monday 6.30-8pm, St. Ita’s Hall)

Clarina (Wednesday 6.30-8pm, Clarina/Ballybrown Community Centre

  • Classes are informal and flexible 
  • Training and support will be provided to all volunteers. 
  • No prior experience needed. Just bring an open mind and a willingness to learn

Tasks that the volunteer(s) will be expected to undertake:

Participating in online training, flexible arrangements,

The conversation club takes place once a week. Some volunteer tutors join every week, others only every second or third. We will have a rota system in place depending on availability and interest. 

Every tutor has a table of learners (usually between 3-5 people). The tutor will be guided through Failte Isteach training and materials but is welcome to introduce their own ideas. Learning should be informal, flexible, tailored, and fun.

As a team we are organising different themes for special days e.g. St. Patrick's day to learn about Irish music and cultures, our International Potluck dinner is always a big hit. No pressure to take part in these events but participation is welcome.
