About Us:Here at Garryowen CDP, we aim to provide a safe, fun and supportive environment for children during school closures in disadvantaged area.
Our volunteers will work in collaboration with camp coordinators and assistant to promote inclusion within the community, build confidence and develop strong relationships with peers in the community. The volunteers will assist preparing activities , participate in a range of activities including games, arts and crafts, sports and group activities that encourage learning, creativity and social development. The volunteers will also be needed to accompany staff and children on planned outings.
The day will approx. consist of 9.30 am until 2.30 pm 3 days per week during the 2 weeks of easter holidays. It is also planned for the summer holidays .
Is training provided?:Yes
Please note that Garda Vetting is required for this position which will be processed with you after you apply.
Tasks that the volunteer(s) will be expected to undertake:
Supervising Children during activities, ensuring their safety and well being at all times
Assisting with games and sports
Helping with group activities
Promoting positive behaviours
Helping with snack time
Creating a welcoming and friendly environment

Details of time commitment needed for role:
Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday for 2 weeks, Easter Break from School.
Possibly more weeks during the Summer Holiday School Closures .
