Description

We're getting ready for our 2025 parade, and we need YOU! We are on the lookout to add to our amazing volunteer team. The dedication and enthusiasm of our volunteers help make truly unforgettable work.

We have an exciting parade this year - our brand-new Halloween spectacle AN TREUN – THE SUMMONING OF THE LOST, a spectacular, shape-shifting parade in Galway city on October 26th inspired by a long-lost tale by Dracula author Bram Stoker and the haunting call of the vanished Corncrake.  If you're interested in joining our creative adventure, please apply! 

Is training provided?:Yes

Tasks that the volunteer(s) will be expected to undertake:

We have many different roles available for our parade this year. These include but are not limited to: 
 

  • Event Steward
  • Float Pusher (physically demanding)
  • Lighting Operator (lighting performers on the streets)
  • Hair Stylist
  • Make up stylist
  • Special Effects
  • Bucket / Donation Collectors

Details of time commitment needed for role:
You may be needed on Friday October 24th (time TBC) You will be needed Sunday October 26th (time TBC) * Please note that you must be available on Sunday October 26th to volunteer with Macnas this year*

Minimum time commitment per week:
Flexible/Varies

Additional screening required for this role::
Upon application, prospective volunteers will be sent a form link where they will be asked to detail their experience and interest.
