Safeguarding Role
Help protect vulnerable groups and build safer communities. Gain experience in delivering safeguarding training, monitoring and evaluating community projects, and supporting implementation of safeguarding policies. Systems Organising Role
Help streamline operations and increase our impact. Gain experience in process design, organisational systems, change management, and data tracking. Perfect for students in Business, IT, Project Management, or Operations.

Tasks that the volunteer(s) will be expected to undertake:
Join our team in Zimbabwe and gain hands-on experience making a real difference!
What You’ll Be Doing:
Deliver training and support programs that keep communities safe
Help develop and improve safeguarding policies and practices
Monitor projects, track data, and suggest ways to make operations smoother
Coordinate activities, troubleshoot issues, and support staff and volunteers
Collaborate with schools, partner organisations, and local authorities
Provide guidance, insights, and practical solutions to improve team impact
Gain real-world experience in social work, education, child protection, business, IT, or project management while making a meaningful contribution.

Details of time commitment needed for role:
The overseas project (average 4 weeks) is only one piece of our Volunteer Programme. When you accept the placement you’re signing up to a year long programme. This includes training days, Ireland based volunteer events, Global Citizenship Education workshops and learning about the Sustainable Development Goals. The programme includes mandatory training days in Cork to ensure you are prepared and ready. It also includes creative work: self reflection blogs, photography and videos. You are also required to attend a post programme celebration weekend, to debrief and reflect on your experience alongside your co-volunteers. Volunteer Training commences from February – June 2026 (before overseas departure).
