Concern Project Us Workshop: Sustainable Development Goals in Action
DCU SU and DCU Volunteer are welcoming Concern Worldwide for a workshop on The Sustainable Development Goals in Action, on 4th March from 11am-12:30pm as part of DCU SU Green Week. The workshop will be held in An Páirc in the U Building, Glasnevin Campus.

This workshop introduces third-level students to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as a lens for understanding global development challenges. Through case studies from Concern Worldwide’s country programmes, we will explore how issues such as poverty, gender, health, education, and climate are deeply interconnected. By examining the intersectional impact of these challenges, students will gain insight into how global inequalities shape lived experiences and why holistic, cross-cutting approaches are vital for meaningful change.

Students will engage with one another and identify challenges and understand the layers of providing international aid. Students will explore how the SDGs are connected to Concern’s work and will work to connect specific SDGs through a variety of case studies.
