The Student Volunteering Office at the University of Limerick is now inviting applications for the Civic Engagement Scholarship for the academic year 2025/26.

This prestigious scholarship is open exclusively to First Year Undergraduate Students who are passionate about making a positive difference in their communities.

Are you driven to create change? Do you have a proven record of volunteerism, activism, or community involvement? The Civic Engagement Scholarship celebrates students who go above and beyond to build stronger, more inclusive communities while pursuing their academic goals at UL.

What’s on Offer

• Scholarship Award: €1,500 in financial support for a first-year undergraduate student, sponsored by the University of Limerick Foundation.

• Recognition: A prestigious accolade highlighting your dedication to civic engagement.

• Opportunities: Collaborate with the Student Volunteering Office and Student Volunteer Ireland, gain access to UL’s extensive network of community partners, and participate in leadership development programmes and civic engagement events.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must:

• Be a first-year full-time undergraduate student enrolled at UL and registered on University of Limerick | StudentVolunteer.ie.

• Demonstrate a strong commitment to civic engagement through volunteerism, leadership roles, or community projects.

• Have a clear vision for how they will continue to contribute to society during their studies at UL.
