Description

Cadet Leaders play a vital role in supporting the development and wellbeing of young members aged 10–17. As a Cadet Leader, you will help plan and deliver weekly Wednesday evening training sessions (6:45–8:00 PM) in first aid, practical skills, and personal development. You’ll also assist at occasional weekend events, duties, and competitions (attendance at all events is not required, as meetings are the priority). Training will be provided to support you in the following tasks:

  • Supervising and mentoring cadets during activities

  • Supporting senior leaders in organising engaging, age-appropriate sessions

  • Promoting teamwork, discipline, and confidence among young members

  • Ensuring a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment

  • Attending required training in youth leadership, first aid, and safeguarding

This is a rewarding volunteer role for someone reliable, positive, and interested in making a difference in young people’s lives. Our members become the paramedics, nurses and doctors of the future, as well as progress into many other fulfilling careers. The training provided is nationally recognised and experiences invaluable.

This opportunity may support you in meeting your work placement hours for your program.
