Galway Autism Partnership was established in 2011 to give the autistic community in Galway a voice and to make a positive difference to the individuals and families we support. GAP aims to ‘Bridge the Gap’ between the needs of our community and existing health, social and education services. As a small charity, all of our activities are subject to resources – both money and people.

Please note that Garda Vetting is required for this position which will be processed with you after you apply.

Tasks that the volunteer(s) will be expected to undertake:

• Work as a team member whilst creating a welcoming fun environment for our members. ​

• Encourage adults and children to engage in the activity and focus of the camp/club signed up for. ​

• Respect each individuals independence and ensure they are safe and happy even if unwilling to engage in a particular activity. ​

• Offer a choice of activities, materials, seating ect. . ​

Details of time commitment needed for role:
Afterschool camps on Thursdays, Fridays and weekends.

Minimum time commitment per week:
2 hours p/week
