Requirements:A strong interest in promoting a safe, respectful, supportive, and positive environment for all.
The University of Limerick's HR-EDI Office is recruiting a network of student volunteers to promote ‘Consent, Sexual Health, and Wellbeing (SHW) Education’, as well as Peer Leaders for the Coffee and Chats Initiative, run by the Student Engagement and Support Officers (Student Affairs) for the Academic Year 25/26.
As Consent Ambassadors, volunteers will engage in promoting consent, sexual health, and wellbeing on campus by co-leading workshops, organising and participating in events, creating and contributing to social media outputs, and signposting support services to their peers.
This role empowers students to advocate for consent initiatives, raise awareness on issues related to sexual health, and foster a safe environment for all members of the campus community.
Participants will gain valuable experience in leadership, communication, and advocacy, contributing to a safe, respectful, supportive, and positive environment for all.
Ambassadors will be supported by Maria Healy, the Sexual Violence & Harassment Prevention and Response Manager, throughout their volunteering time.
Applicants who wish to engage in Consent and Sexual Health & Wellbeing activities must be available for in-person training on Monday, the 23rd of September with Maria Healy.
Coffee and Chats is an informal initiative that offers a casual, friendly environment where students can unwind, share stories and build community over a warm drink. We are looking for enthusiastic and compassionate student volunteers to join us as Peer Leaders.
As Coffee and Chats Peer Leaders, volunteers will welcome and engage with fellow students to encourage student participation in the Coffee and Chats initiative.
Participants will gain valuable skills such as communication, teamwork, collaboration and leadership skills, as well as increased confidence and self-awareness. Participants will also have the opportunity to meet new people and make a difference in student life.
· Peer Leaders will be supported by Student Engagement and Support Officers throughout their volunteering time.
Applicants who wish to engage in the Peer Leader volunteering must be available for a meeting on 17 September 2025 at 12pm in the Student Support and Engagement Hub, Student Courtyard.
