Description

What is ESN Ireland?

Maybe you’ve heard of us before, or maybe not. Either way we have pulled together a short round-up of who we are, and what ESN is all about!

Mission:
Erasmus Student Network (ESN) is a non-profit international student organisation. Our mission is to represent international students, thus providing opportunities for cultural understanding and self-development under the principle of Students Helping Students.

A bit more about ESN and its structure:
ESN is made up of many different international societies at different universities across Europe. Each of these societies is called a local section. These local sections organise events, trips and other fun things for international students to help them to make friends and get the most out of their time abroad. There are already 12 sections in Ireland: ESN UCD, ESN Maynooth, ESN DCU, ESN DKIT, ESN TU Dublin, ESN University of Galway, ESN TCD, ESN UL, ESN TUS Midwest Global, ESN TUS Midlands Global, ESN IADT Global and ESN RCSI Global. There is also a national board in each country (that’s us) that are elected by the sections to help them with any problems they might have and to keep the local sections up to speed with international developments in ESN, among other things.

You may ask yourself why you should join our volunteer organisation. What’s in it for us?
